What Happens Next

From your inquiry to booked wedding

1.

I reply within 24 hours

Usually within a few hours during Bahamas daytime. You get a recommendation, a package match for your situation, any flags about timeline, and a written quote. If you asked a specific question, I answer it directly.

2.

We confirm details

If you want to move forward, we go through specifics: venue choice, vendors, ceremony style, timeline, document requirements, and any add-ons (photography, floral, music, transportation). All confirmed in writing.

3.

Deposit secures your date

A deposit holds the date. Final balance is due before the ceremony. I prepare your marriage license paperwork in advance, coordinate vendors, and check in on details as the date approaches.

Helpful Tips

Things worth knowing before you message

  • Dates can be approximate. Even rough date ranges help me check availability and tell you whether your timeline is realistic.
  • Don't overthink the budget. A range is fine. I quote honestly across the range and tell you what each level gets you.
  • Cruise wedding? Mention the itinerary. If your cruise visits another Bahamian port (Freeport, CocoCay, Half Moon Cay, Castaway Cay, or Bimini) before Nassau, the 24-hour residency rule may already be satisfied by Nassau arrival, which opens up same-day Nassau weddings.
  • Weekend wedding? Plan for the RGD weekend closure. The Registrar General's Department is closed Saturday and Sunday. For a Saturday or Sunday ceremony, you must arrive by Thursday at the latest.
  • Not sure of the island? Just say so. "Not sure, recommend one" is a perfectly fine answer. I will ask a few follow-up questions and match you.
  • Same-sex couples welcome. Legal same-sex marriage is not currently recognized in The Bahamas, but I officiate commitment ceremonies and vow renewals for same-sex couples.
